The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing updating monitoring and reporting the project schedule to support the successful execution of all project activities. The role involves close coordination with Engineering Construction Procurement Logistics QA/QC HSE and subcontractors to ensure that project activities are planned monitored and executed in accordance with the approved programme.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
Develop baseline recovery look-ahead and target programmes.
Monitor daily weekly and monthly project progress.
Coordinate with all departments to ensure programme compliance.
Identify delays critical activities and schedule risks.
Prepare schedule recovery plans and mitigation measures.
Review subcontractors' programmes and monitor compliance.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and S-curves.
Support preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) documentation.
Participate in progress meetings with project stakeholders.
Monitor procurement engineering approvals and construction progress against schedule.
Support Project Controls Manager with schedule analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
12–15 years of planning experience on major building projects.
Minimum 10 years with leading Tier-1 main contractors.
Previous experience in Qatar or the GCC.
Preferred Qualifications
Primavera P6 Professional certification.
MMUP (UPDA) registration (preferred).
