Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation Inspection: Verify blasting cleaning and preparation of substrates in line with project specifications and NACE standards.

  • Coating Application Monitoring: Inspect application of primers intermediate and finish coats to ensure compliance with manufacturers data sheets and project requirements.

  • Environmental Condition Checks: Monitor temperature humidity dew point and surface conditions before and during coating application.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure coating thickness adhesion and curing meet specified standards.

  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain inspection records daily reports and coating logs for QA/QC compliance.

  • NonConformance Management: Identify coating defects (holidays pinholes blistering) issue NCRs and verify corrective actions.

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure safe handling of paints solvents and blasting equipment in line with HSE protocols.

  • Coordination: Liaise with contractors supervisors and QA/QC managers to resolve coating issues and ensure timely completion.



Requirements
Qualifications
  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Civil or related engineering discipline.

  • Mandatory Certification: NACE Level II Coating Inspector.

  • Minimum 57 years of coating inspection experience with offshore oil & gas exposure preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of SSPC ISO ASTM and project coating specifications.

Certifications & Training
  • NACE Level II Coating Inspector (mandatory).

  • ISO 9001 Quality Management awareness.

  • Offshore survival training (BOSIET/HUET).

  • HSE training for hazardous materials handling.
