We are seeking an experienced Network Technician to support the operation maintenance and enhancement of passive network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing maintaining and troubleshooting structured cabling systems conducting site inspections preparing technical documentation and supporting network infrastructure projects and event-based deployments.
Key Responsibilities Network Systems Delivery Install maintain and repair UTP fiber optic (FOC) multi-core and LAN cabling systems. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on existing network cabling infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Utilize industry-standard tools and testing equipment for network cabling installation troubleshooting and certification. Conduct site surveys and inspections preparing detailed reports technical assessments and Bills of Quantities (BOQs). Manage inventory of network components materials and equipment required for installation and maintenance activities. Design and implement network cabling layouts and overlays for temporary and event-based infrastructure requirements. Prepare and maintain network drawings patching schedules and patching matrices. Perform mounting patching and connectivity management of active network devices. Provide remote support and troubleshooting assistance when required. Coordinate effectively with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery. Documentation & Reporting Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation site inspection reports BOQs and maintenance records. Generate inventory maintenance and network performance reports. Maintain detailed records of installation troubleshooting and support activities. Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Requirements Experience Minimum 8 years of experience in IT support and customer-facing technical environments. At least 2–3 years of experience in a similar Network Technician or Network Infrastructure role. Experience working with structured cabling systems passive network infrastructure and network support operations. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Electronics & Communication Engineering Information Technology or a related field. Certifications Relevant professional IT certifications are preferred (e.g. CISA or equivalent industry-recognized certifications). Required Skills Strong expertise in installation maintenance and troubleshooting of UTP Fiber Optic Multi-Core and LAN cabling systems. Hands-on experience with mounting and patching active network devices over passive network infrastructure. Proficiency in using network testing and installation tools such as cable testers crimping tools Fluke testers OTDRs and related equipment. Ability to design and implement structured cabling layouts for both permanent and temporary installations. Experience conducting site surveys inspections and preparing BOQs. Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
