Network Architect Lead
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Network Strategy & Architecture
- Lead the architectural design of enterprise-scale network solutions across LAN WAN Wi-Fi and data center environments.
- Define and maintain High-Level Designs (HLD) Low-Level Designs (LLD) and related architectural documentation.
- Conduct capacity planning and redundancy analysis to ensure network performance during high-demand event usage and regular operations.
- Drive the preparation and evaluation of business cases RFPs RFQs and technical proposals.
Solution Design & Implementation
- Evaluate and implement new networking technologies such as SD-WAN cloud networking and performance optimization tools.
- Ensure network deployments follow industry standards best practices compliance requirements and performance objectives.
- Collaborate with vendors and OEM partners for proof-of-concepts and solution testing.
- Oversee the implementation and operational rollout of network solutions for event and venue environments.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a team of network architects engineers and technicians.
- Establish best practices governance guidelines and documentation standards across the network team.
- Work closely with cross-functional IT teams event technology stakeholders and external service providers to ensure end-to-end alignment.
Budgeting & Cost Management
- Manage network infrastructure budgets to ensure efficient cost utilization.
- Negotiate with vendors manage procurement processes and evaluate vendor performance.
- Monitor expenditures and provide post-project cost performance analysis.
- 10 years of experience in IT networking roles including a minimum of 6 years in a network architecture or senior leadership position.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience designing deploying and maintaining large-scale enterprise or venue networks.
Certifications (Mandatory)
- CCIE or CCNP OR cloud/SD-WAN related certifications.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in network architecture design across LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi and data center environments.
- Deep understanding of routing switching Wi-Fi technologies and vendor product lines (preferably Cisco).
- Experience in developing HLD/LLD documentation and network governance frameworks.
- Strong vendor and stakeholder management capabilities including RFP/RFQ processes.
- Knowledge of business continuity planning disaster recovery and high-availability design.
- Proven leadership project management and team development experience.
