Manager – OT Automation & SCADA
Experience
15–18 years preferred with strong experience in Automation SCADA BMS ELV/Safety & Security systems system integration commissioning and project delivery.
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – OT Automation & SCADA to lead engineering integration commissioning documentation and team coordination for multi-vendor OT systems. The candidate should be capable of managing automation engineers SCADA application engineers BMS engineers ELV/Safety & Security engineers application engineers and project engineers.
Roles & Responsibilities
Engineering & Configuration
Lead engineering activities for PLC SCADA BMS ELV/Safety & Security and OT integration systems.
Review and approve technical deliverables such as FDS LLD I/O list points list interface matrix alarm matrix testing procedures as-builts and O&M documentation.
Ensure engineering standards naming conventions graphics standards alarm philosophy and documentation quality are maintained.
Guide engineers on system configuration database development graphics alarms trends reports and dashboards.
Integration & Interfaces
Lead multi-vendor system integration across PLC/SCADA/BMS/ELV/OT systems.
Ensure proper interface design and validation using protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU BACnet OPC UA/DA Profinet/Profibus Ethernet/IP MQTT API/HTTP SQL/historian interfaces as applicable.
Coordinate with OEMs vendors ICT/network teams and internal engineers for interface readiness and issue closure.
Review and control interface risks integration dependencies and third-party system limitations.
Testing Commissioning & Handover
Plan and manage FAT SAT integrated testing loop checks functional testing failover testing commissioning and punch closure.
Ensure test reports evidence packs configuration backups and handover documents are complete and properly controlled.
Support site teams during troubleshooting RCA and stabilization of systems during commissioning and early operation.
Ensure final handover is aligned with client/consultant requirements.
Project Coordination & Governance
Manage and coordinate the OT & Automation team including task allocation progress tracking and technical guidance.
Conduct internal reviews technical workshops vendor meetings and client/consultant coordination meetings.
Maintain trackers for deliverables actions interface issues punch points approvals and dependencies.
Support project planning resource planning recovery actions and management reporting.
Coordinate with sales/proposal teams for technical inputs BOQ tender support and solution review when required.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure all submissions follow company quality procedures document control process revision control and approval workflow.
Ensure safe site execution in line with HSE requirements and permit-to-work procedures.
Maintain proper change control for site modifications configuration updates and design revisions.
Ensure team outputs are technically correct traceable and suitable for client/consultant approval.
Key Skills
Strong leadership in OT Automation SCADA BMS and ELV system delivery.
Hands-on understanding of Siemens Schneider Rockwell Mitsubishi Honeywell Trend Niagara WinCC / WinCC OA AVEVA Ignition ICONICS or similar platforms.
Strong knowledge of industrial protocols: Modbus BACnet OPC Profinet/Profibus Ethernet/IP MQTT API/HTTP.
Strong experience in FAT/SAT commissioning troubleshooting RCA and system handover.
Excellent coordination with client consultant vendors OEMs site teams and management.
Strong documentation reporting planning and team management skills.
Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical Electronics Instrumentation Automation or related engineering discipline.
