Job Summary
- Review draft and negotiate commercial agreements service agreements consultancy agreements construction-related contracts leasing documents SPAs licenses settlement agreements MOUs and related legal instruments.
- Identify and assess key risks including liability caps indemnities termination rights payment exposure authority approvals insurance delay default dispute resolution and governing law provisions.
- Prepare concise legal comments risk summaries and recommended amendments.
- Support the legal review of tender documents bid submissions PPP documentation RFPs concession/lease/project agreements and related
- clarification requests.
- Identify deal-breaker provisions compliance gaps submission risks and authority-related exposure.
- Assist in preparing legal clarification questions and risk notes for management.
- Review court submissions external counsel advice pleadings expert reports evidence bundles and litigation strategy notes.
- Support internal assessment of claims counterclaims settlement options execution risk and procedural deadlines.
- Coordinate with external counsel where required and assist in preparing internal legal instructions.
- Prepare detailed legal risk assessments for management decision-making.
- Provide practical advice on urgent legal contractual regulatory and governance matters.
- Support the A/LC in maintaining proper legal oversight across departments and subsidiaries.
- Assist with workload management prioritization of urgent legal matters review trackers and reporting.
- Support the preparation of law firm assessment criteria external counsel coordination handover plans and legal cost-control measures.
- Provide a second line of legal review on complex matters.
- Minimum 8-10 years of post-qualification legal experience.
- Prior experience in a reputable law firm is mandatory preferably with international or regional law firm exposure for a minimum of 8 years.
- Strong background in commercial contracts real estate development construction/project documentation procurement tendering and dispute management.
- Experience working with developers government-linked entities infrastructure projects PPPs or large corporate groups.
- Ability to review complex and high-value legal documents under time pressure with limited supervision.
- Strong legal drafting skills in English/Arabic.
- Ability to produce executive-level risk assessments legal recommendations issue trackers and management-ready advice.
- Familiarity with the Qatar legal and regulatory environment or at minimum GCC legal practice.
- Ability to work directly with internal departments senior management and external counsel.
- Strong ability to operate at law-firm standard in drafting review risk analysis matter management and legal reporting.
- Strict confidentiality sound professional judgment responsiveness and ability to manage sensitive matters.
- AI-oriented legal professional with demonstrated experience using advanced legal AI platforms including Harvey Legora or equivalent legal technology tools for contract review legal research drafting document analysis and litigation/arbitration support.
- Proven ability to integrate legal AI tools into legal workflows while maintaining senior legal judgment confidentiality quality control and professional responsibility.
- Practical experience in technology-assisted review AI-supported document analysis automated legal trackers and structured reporting for high-volume or time-sensitive matters.
- Previous in-house experience with a developer master developer public shareholding company or government-related entity.
Required Skills:
5 years of hands-on Siemens S7 experience specifically S7-300 programming diagnostics and data block structure via Step 7 Classic or TIA Portal Profibus DP fluency able to diagnose bus faults read GSD device profiles identify slave addresses and recover from MP Bus Blackout-class faults without vendor support WinCC Flexible proficiency able to navigate and extract tag configuration alarm classes and screen logic from an existing compiled WinCC Flexible project OPC UA implementation experience via any of: Siemens Industrial PC OPC Server KEPServerEX open62541 or a Snap7-based Linux gateway solution Industrial networking OT/IT convergence unmanaged Profibus topology vs. managed Ethernet VLAN design and understanding of where IT security policy collides with OT real-time requirements Ability to independently read and produce electrical schematics PLC I/O mapping sheets drive parameter tables and field device wiring diagrams Comfortable working on an active high-visibility public-facing site in Qatar able to obtain Qatar SafePass site-specific HSE inductions and work under the relevant site access protocols Fluent English can write clear technical documentation and communicate directly with European OEM contractors a remote software development team and the clients facilities management team
