Job Summary
- Assist mechanical fitters riggers welders pipe fitters and technicians during oil and gas site activities.
- Load unload shift and arrange pipes valves equipment tools and other materials.
- Support shutdown maintenance installation and general mechanical activities under supervision.
- Maintain proper housekeeping by cleaning work areas and removing scrap and waste materials.
- Assist with barricading material preparation equipment setup and manual handling activities.
- Follow permit-to-work procedures toolbox talks emergency procedures and site HSE regulations.
- Wear the required PPE and immediately report unsafe conditions damaged equipment or incidents.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned work safely and efficiently.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Laborer in oil and gas petrochemical refinery or industrial projects.
- Previous experience in shutdown maintenance or construction projects is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of oil and gas site safety material handling housekeeping and hand tools.
- Awareness of permit-to-work confined-space working-at-height and lifting safety requirements.
- Must be physically fit and capable of lifting materials and working in demanding site conditions.
- Ability to understand and follow safety instructions and supervisors directions.
- Basic English communication skills; Hindi or Urdu is an advantage.
- Valid Qatar ID required safety certificates and immediate availability are preferred.
Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments outdoors or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
