Irrigation Engineer – Roads & Infrastructure

Location: Doha Qatar

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Irrigation Engineer to join our Roads & Infrastructure team in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design review supervision installation testing commissioning and maintenance coordination of irrigation systems associated with landscape and infrastructure projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in irrigation networks treated sewage effluent (TSE) systems landscape coordination and compliance with Qatar standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise irrigation works for roads landscape and infrastructure projects in compliance with project specifications QCS and Ashghal standards.
• Review and approve irrigation shop drawings material submittals method statements and as-built drawings.
• Monitor installation of irrigation pipelines valves chambers pumps controllers sprinklers drip systems and associated accessories.
• Coordinate with landscape utilities electrical and civil teams to ensure proper integration of irrigation systems.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality workmanship safety compliance and adherence to approved drawings.
• Witness testing and commissioning activities for irrigation systems and prepare inspection reports.
• Ensure proper installation and operation of TSE networks and irrigation control systems.
• Identify technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions to avoid project delays.
• Review contractor progress manpower allocation and construction schedules.
• Coordinate with clients consultants contractors and local authorities for approvals and inspections.
• Monitor project progress and prepare daily weekly and monthly reports.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability requirements.
• Assist in project handover snagging and close-out documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering Irrigation Engineering Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in irrigation and landscape infrastructure projects.
• GCC/Qatar experience in roads and infrastructure projects is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems TSE networks pumps controllers and landscape coordination.
• Familiarity with Ashghal standards QCS and local authority requirements.
• Experience in testing commissioning and maintenance coordination of irrigation systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD MS Office and irrigation design software is preferred.
• Excellent communication coordination and problem-solving skills.
• UPDA/MMUP certification is preferred.
• Qatar Driving License is an advantage.
