Hygiene Officer

As a Hygiene Officer you play a key role in ensuring cleanliness sanitation and compliance with food safety standards contributing to the wellbeing of our guests and Heartists.

What you will be doing:

• Monitor hygiene sanitation and food safety standards throughout the hotel.

• Conduct regular inspections of kitchens food outlets storage areas and staff cafeteria.

• Ensure compliance with HACCP principles and applicable food safety regulations.

• Monitor food storage labeling temperature control expiry dates and food handling practices.

• Identify hygiene risks and follow up with departments on corrective actions.

• Ensure proper cleaning sanitation waste management and pest control procedures.

• Maintain accurate hygiene inspection reports and related documentation.

• Provide hygiene awareness and food safety guidance to Heartists.

• Assist with internal and external hygiene audits and inspections.

• Coordinate with relevant departments to maintain the hotels hygiene standards.

Qualifications :

Your experience and skills include:

• Certificate or qualification in Food Safety Hygiene or a related field.

• Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or hospitality environment is an asset.

• Good knowledge of HACCP food safety and sanitation standards.

• Strong attention to detail and observation skills.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with different departments.

• Proactive attitude with a strong commitment to hygiene safety and quality.

• Flexible to work shifts weekends and public holidays as required.
