HSE Officer
Job Summary
To ensure compliance with QCS 2014 applicable HSE regulations and project-specific safety requirements while promoting and maintaining a safe healthy and environmentally responsible work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily HSE inspections and site audits to ensure compliance with project requirements and HSE regulations.
- Enforce HSE policies procedures and safe working practices across all work activities.
- Review verify and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.
- Assess and review Risk Assessments (RA) and Method Statements (MS) to ensure suitability and compliance.
- Conduct site safety inductions toolbox talks and HSE awareness training sessions.
- Investigate incidents accidents hazardous occurrences and near misses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare daily weekly and monthly HSE reports and maintain accurate HSE records and documentation.
- Participate in and coordinate emergency response drills and preparedness activities.
- Monitor environmental compliance and implement environmental protection measures.
- Liaise and coordinate with the Client consultants and subcontractors on all HSE-related matters.
- Support internal and external HSE audits inspections and compliance reviews.
- Exercise Stop Work Authority whenever unsafe acts or unsafe conditions are identified.
Qualifications :
- Sound knowledge of QCS 2014 applicable HSE regulations and safety management systems.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) is mandatory.
- Minimum 4 years of HSE experience in the GCC region.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
- Strong communication interpersonal and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and incident investigation skills.
- Commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement in HSE performance.
