Job Summary
The General Surgeon is responsible for diagnosing and surgically treating patients with conditions affecting the abdomen digestive system soft tissues breast thyroid and trauma-related injuries. The role includes patient assessment surgical procedures post-operative care and emergency management while ensuring high standards of patient safety and clinical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform elective and emergency surgical procedures.
- Evaluate diagnose and manage surgical patients.
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Participate in on-call duties and emergency coverage.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Follow hospital policies infection control and quality standards.
Qualifications
- MBBS/MD degree from a recognized institution.
- Board Certification / Arab Board / FRCS or equivalent in General Surgery.
- Valid QCHP/MOPH license or eligibility in Qatar.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience preferred.
Skills
- Strong surgical and clinical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
- Knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
