Fire Life Safety Engineer

Job Title: Fire Life Safety Engineer
Location: Doha Qatar

We are seeking an experienced Fire Life Safety Engineer with strong expertise in the design review installation testing commissioning and maintenance of fire protection and life safety systems for building projects. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in commercial residential mixed-use healthcare hospitality and high-rise buildings ensuring compliance with local authority regulations international fire codes and project specifications.

• Design and review Fire Life Safety (FLS) systems for building projects.
• Prepare and review fire protection layouts hydraulic calculations and engineering reports.
• Coordinate with architects MEP engineers structural engineers and consultants during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with applicable fire codes and standards such as NFPA QCDD Civil Defense IBC IFC and local authority requirements.
• Review shop drawings material submittals method statements and technical documentation.
• Supervise installation testing commissioning and handover of fire protection systems.
• Conduct fire risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
• Coordinate authority inspections and obtain approvals from Civil Defense and relevant authorities.
• Witness functional testing of fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Prepare snag lists and ensure timely closure before project handover.
• Investigate fire system failures and provide corrective actions.
• Support facility management teams during the defect liability and maintenance periods.
• Maintain project documentation inspection reports and compliance records.

• Minimum 8–15 years of Fire Life Safety experience.
• At least 5 years working on large-scale building projects.
• Experience with high-rise buildings commercial towers residential developments hotels hospitals airports shopping malls or mixed-use developments.
• Experience in design consultancy construction or project supervision.
• Knowledge of Testing & Commissioning (T&C) procedures.
• Experience coordinating with Civil Defense authorities.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering Fire Protection Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
