Duty Engineer

What you will be doing:

• Oversee daily engineering operations and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel facilities equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize disruption to hotel operations.
• Monitor electrical mechanical plumbing HVAC and other building systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate and follow up on maintenance requests and work orders.
• Respond to emergencies and breakdowns and take appropriate corrective action.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with safety standards hotel procedures and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities inspections and repairs.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments and external contractors when required.
• Support and guide Engineering team members during daily operations.
• Ensure engineering workshops tools and work areas are clean organized and safe.
• Contribute to maintaining a comfortable safe and well-maintained environment for guests and Heartists.

Qualifications :

Your experience and skills include:

• Diploma or technical qualification in Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar engineering role preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Good knowledge of electrical mechanical HVAC plumbing and building systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and team coordination skills.
• Proactive reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Flexible to work shifts weekends and public holidays as required.
