We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst – Electrical Power / Asset Condition Monitoring to support the assessment of the health condition performance reliability and risk of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical assets.
The successful candidate will analyse condition-monitoring and diagnostic data including Partial Discharge (PD) Infrared Thermography (IR) Transformer Oil Analysis visual inspection results historical records equipment specifications and operational data.
The role will be responsible for developing asset condition and risk assessments identifying abnormal or deteriorating conditions prioritising assets based on health and criticality and providing technically justified recommendations to support maintenance and asset-management decisions.
Receive review validate and evaluate technical inputs test results site data inspection findings and reports from project and contractor teams.
Assess the health and condition of electrical assets using:
Partial Discharge (PD) data
Infrared Thermography (IR) results
Transformer Oil Analysis
Visual inspection findings
Historical maintenance and failure records
Equipment design and technical specifications
Operational and performance data
Identify abnormal conditions degradation trends potential failure modes and emerging asset risks.
Develop and maintain Asset Health Indices (AHI) and condition-rating methodologies.
Categorise assets according to condition performance criticality and risk.
Analyse diagnostic test results for MV distribution equipment and associated electrical assets.
Evaluate Partial Discharge measurements and identify potential insulation defects or deterioration.
Analyse Infrared Thermography results to identify abnormal temperature patterns loose connections overloads and other thermal anomalies.
Review and interpret Transformer Oil Analysis results including key indicators of transformer condition and potential degradation.
Correlate multiple diagnostic data sources to provide an overall assessment of asset condition.
Review historical diagnostic results to identify trends and deterioration patterns.
Assess the condition of distribution substation equipment including:
MV/LV switchgear
Distribution transformers
MV/LV cables
Protection equipment
Busbars and associated equipment
Other electrical distribution assets
Review equipment specifications age loading operating history maintenance history and failure records.
Identify assets requiring further investigation corrective maintenance refurbishment replacement or increased monitoring.
Perform asset risk assessments based on condition probability of failure consequence of failure and asset criticality.
Develop and maintain asset criticality indices and risk-ranking methodologies.
Prioritise assets for maintenance inspection testing refurbishment or replacement.
Support condition-based risk management and condition-based maintenance strategies.
Provide recommendations for reducing asset-related operational and reliability risks.
Analyse large volumes of technical diagnostic operational and historical asset data.
Identify trends correlations anomalies and patterns within asset condition data.
Convert technical data into meaningful management information dashboards reports and performance indicators.
Use Microsoft Excel and relevant project applications to manage analyse and present asset data.
Support the development maintenance and use of CBAM software architecture and associated asset-management applications.
Maintain accurate and traceable asset condition records and analytical outputs.
Prepare technical reports covering asset condition health risk criticality and recommended actions.
Provide technically sound recommendations based on diagnostic evidence and asset-management principles.
Highlight high-risk and deteriorating assets requiring immediate attention.
Present findings to asset-management maintenance engineering and management teams.
Support periodic asset-health and risk reviews.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferably with a Power Engineering specialisation from a recognised institution.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical power utilities distribution networks asset management condition monitoring or related fields.
Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and MV/LV equipment.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
Working knowledge of CBAM software architecture and other applications used for asset condition-monitoring and asset-management projects.
Candidates should possess relevant training or certification in the following areas:
Infrared Thermography – Level 1 from a recognised OEM or qualified training provider.
Partial Discharge (PD) training/certification from a recognised equipment OEM or qualified training provider.
Transformer Oil Analysis training/certification from an internationally recognised oil-analysis laboratory.
Asset Management training/certification from an internationally recognised organisation or specialist firm.
Extensive experience in MV equipment diagnostic testing and interpretation of diagnostic results.
Strong technical knowledge of distribution substations and electrical power assets.

The ideal candidate will be an Electrical Power Engineer / Asset Condition Monitoring Specialist / Electrical Asset Management Analyst with hands-on experience in utility or distribution-network environments.
Candidates with demonstrated experience in MV diagnostic testing transformer condition assessment Partial Discharge Infrared Thermography Transformer Oil Analysis Asset Health Indexing and risk-based asset prioritisation will be highly preferred.
