Job Summary
CLINICAL CODER
Responsibilities
Review medical records and assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.
Check documentation for completeness and clarify coding queries with clinical staff.
Follow applicable coding guidelines payer requirements and confidentiality policies.
Support coding audits resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate coding records.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelors degree in Health Information Management Clinical Coding or a related field.
Minimum 2 years of clinical coding experience preferably in a hospital.
Knowledge of ICD-10 and applicable procedure coding systems such as CPT or HCPCS as required by the facility.
A recognized coding credential such as CPC or CCS is preferred.
Strong medical terminology analytical accuracy and confidentiality skills.
Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Experience: Previous experience in insulation work is an advantage but not always required for helper roles. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers. Work Conditions: Comfortable working in cold environments outdoors or at heights. Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions; basic understanding of workplace safety signs and labels.
