Job Description – Carpentry Supervisor

Position: Carpentry Supervisor
Location: Doha Qatar
Salary: QAR 5000 – 7000 (All-Inclusive)

Job Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Carpentry Supervisor to oversee workshop operations and on-site installation teams for exhibitions events retail fit-outs and custom joinery projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in carpentry and joinery excellent leadership abilities and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects safely efficiently and within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the carpentry workshop and installation teams.
• Interpret technical drawings shop drawings and production plans to ensure accurate fabrication and installation.
• Plan and allocate manpower materials tools and equipment to meet project schedules and deadlines.
• Ensure all carpentry and joinery works comply with approved drawings client specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with the Production Manager Project Managers Designers and other departments for seamless project execution.
• Monitor fabrication and installation progress identifying and resolving technical issues promptly.
• Conduct quality inspections before delivery and installation to ensure superior workmanship.
• Enforce Health Safety and Environment (HSE) standards and promote safe working practices.
• Train mentor and evaluate carpenters and workshop personnel to improve productivity and craftsmanship.
• Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage through effective planning and supervision.
• Ensure workshop machinery tools and equipment are properly maintained and operated safely.
• Prepare daily progress reports manpower reports and production updates.
• Support urgent event installations dismantling activities and overtime work when required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Carpentry Woodworking Construction or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Carpentry Supervisor preferably within the events exhibitions retail fit-out interior fit-out or joinery industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of carpentry methods woodworking machinery and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings shop drawings and technical plans.
• Excellent leadership planning and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
• Valid Qatar Driving License is preferred.
