Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpentry Foreman to supervise daily carpentry activities in the workshop and at project sites. The successful candidate will lead a team of carpenters and helpers ensure work is completed according to approved drawings and quality standards and support the timely delivery of exhibition stands event structures retail fit-outs and custom joinery projects.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of carpenters and helpers in the workshop and at project sites.
Allocate daily tasks and ensure work is completed according to project schedules and deadlines.
Read and interpret shop drawings technical drawings and cutting lists.
Ensure all carpentry and joinery work complies with approved drawings quality standards and client specifications.
Coordinate with the Carpentry Supervisor Production Manager and Project Managers to ensure smooth project execution.
Monitor material usage and minimize waste during fabrication and installation.
Inspect completed work before delivery and site installation to ensure high-quality workmanship.
Ensure all tools machinery and equipment are used safely and maintained in good working condition.
Enforce Health Safety and Environment (HSE) procedures and safe working practices.
Assist with loading transportation installation dismantling and maintenance of exhibition and event structures when required.
Report material shortages equipment issues and manpower requirements to the Carpentry Supervisor.
Train and mentor junior carpenters and helpers to improve productivity and workmanship.
Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards in the workshop and work areas.
Support overtime weekend and night shifts during peak project and event schedules.
Qualifications
Technical Certificate or Diploma in Carpentry Woodworking or a related trade.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Carpentry Foreman or Senior Carpenter preferably in the events exhibitions joinery retail fit-out or interior fit-out industry.
Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques woodworking machinery and fabrication methods.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings shop drawings and cutting lists.
Good leadership planning and team coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines.
Basic English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
Valid Qatar Driving License is preferred.
