Job Summary
CARPENTER (SHIP REPAIR / SHIPBUILDING)
Main Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 5 years in carpentry including 12 years in ship repair or shipbuilding carpentry.
Technical Skills: Proficient with hand & power tools; framing finishing precision cutting shaping and installation; good knowledge of wood materials.
Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of power tool hazards and safe material handling practices.
Physical Fitness: Able to work in demanding environments (heights confined spaces extreme weather).
Communication: Clear verbal and basic written communication to coordinate with teams and report to foreman.
Education: Secondary school or equivalent.
Availability: Immediate joiners preferred.
