Barista

• Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks specialty coffees teas and cold beverages to the cafés quality standards
  
• Greet customers warmly take orders accurately and process payments through the point-of-sale system
  
• Operate clean and maintain espresso machines grinders and other cafe equipment
  
• Maintain a clean organized and hygienic work area in line with Qatar Ministry of Public Health food safety regulations
  
• Monitor stock levels of coffee milk syrups and supplies and report shortages to the supervisor
  
• Assist with opening and closing procedures including cash handling and daily reconciliation
  
• Support the preparation of light snacks pastries and sandwiches when required
  
• Follow health safety and sanitation procedures at all times
  
• Contribute to special events exhibitions and university functions held on campus
  

Essential:

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• Minimum of 12 years of experience as a barista or in a cafe/hospitality setting
  
• Strong knowledge of espresso preparation milk steaming and basic latte art
  
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
  
• Good command of English; Arabic will be an advantage
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
  
• Flexibility to work shifts including early mornings and in line with the academic calendar
  
• Valid Food Handlers Health Card (or willingness to obtain one)
  

Preferred:

• Barista certification or hospitality training
  
• Previous experience in a university corporate or high-volume cafe
  
• Basic cashier experience
  
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment
