ob Description: Power Generation & Energy Operations Manager

An experienced and results-driven Power Generation professional with over 18 years of progressive experience in the Utilities and Energy sector specializing in operations maintenance reliability and energy management of power generation facilities.

• Lead end-to-end operations construction commissioning and maintenance of power generation facilities from project inception through to full operational readiness.
• Oversee plant operations and maintenance strategies to ensure high reliability availability and performance of power assets.
• Manage preventive predictive and corrective maintenance programs for diesel and gas-fired generators CHP plants and gas turbine systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory safety and environmental standards across all operational activities.
• Direct technical feasibility studies engineering due diligence and value engineering for power projects.
• Supervise installation commissioning start-up and performance testing of power generation equipment and systems.
• Manage and optimize budgets operational expenditures and capital project costs to ensure financial efficiency.
• Negotiate and manage fuel supply contracts vendor agreements and service contracts.
• Lead teams of engineers technicians and support staff ensuring strong performance collaboration and operational discipline.
• Develop and implement strategic maintenance and operational plans to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Conduct power plant performance audits and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee asset management equipment reliability and lifecycle optimization of power generation infrastructure.
• Ensure proper operation of transformers switchgear synchronizing systems and SCADA systems.
• Identify operational gaps and implement solutions to improve plant performance and energy efficiency.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and management to align operational strategies with business objectives.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Power Engineering – Aswan University
