They are currently seeking an experienced Windows Server Consultant to join their infrastructure support team in Warsaw. This contract position offers you the opportunity to work across diverse technical environments supporting Windows Server infrastructure Active Directory services and virtualisation platforms while gaining exposure to hyperscaler cloud technologies.
Position Overview
As a Windows Server Consultant youll play an important role in maintaining and troubleshooting server infrastructure across European locations. Youll work with Windows Server environments manage Active Directory services and support virtualisation platforms while ensuring system availability and performance. This position requires strong technical knowledge combined with practical experience in ITIL processes contributing directly to the stability and reliability of critical business systems.
Responsibilities
Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server 2008 and 2012 environments across production systems
Manage Microsoft Active Directory services including domain controllers DNS DHCP and Group Policy
Monitor and maintain Active Directory replication across multiple sites
Support VMware vSphere environments across multiple versions including 5.x and 6.x
Implement and manage vMotion DRS and HA configurations for virtualisation infrastructure
Create and maintain virtual machine clones templates and snapshots
Apply Windows Server security patches following established processes and schedules
Support hyperscaler cloud platforms including AWS Azure or GCP
Follow ITIL processes for incident management change management and problem resolution
Provide 8x5 support coverage with participation in weekend on-call rotation
Document technical procedures configurations and troubleshooting steps
Collaborate with technical teams across European locations to resolve infrastructure issues
Requirements
6-8 years of experience in Windows Server administration and support
Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2008 and 2012 administration and troubleshooting
Proven experience managing Microsoft Active Directory services on Windows Server 2008 and 2012
Practical experience with Domain Controller DNS DHCP Group Policy and AD replication
Working knowledge of Windows Server clustering and security patching processes
Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere versions 5.x and 6.x
Familiarity with vMotion DRS and HA features within VMware environments
Experience creating and managing VM clones templates and snapshots
Prior knowledge and work experience with hyperscaler platforms (AWS Azure or GCP)
Demonstrated experience working within ITIL process frameworks
Ability to work 8x5 schedule with weekend on-call support availability
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for technical troubleshooting
Effective communication skills for collaborating with distributed technical teams
Fluency in English for technical documentation and team communication
