Position Overview
As a Test Automation Engineer youll play a crucial role in ensuring software quality and system reliability. Youll design comprehensive automated test strategies build scalable test frameworks and validate complex applications across web API and big data environments. Your work directly impacts the delivery of high-quality software solutions helping the organisation maintain its reputation for excellence and supporting faster more confident product releases.
Responsibilities
Design and develop automated test frameworks using Python PyTest and Robot Framework to validate application functionality
Create and maintain test automation scripts for API testing using tools such as Postman and the Requests library
Build and execute big data testing strategies to ensure data integrity and system performance at scale
Develop web automation scripts using Selenium to test user interfaces across multiple browsers and devices
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab CI for continuous quality validation
Manage version control using Git maintaining clean code practices and collaborative workflows
Explore and implement AI tools to enhance test preparation improve script design and accelerate automation delivery
Collaborate with developers and quality assurance teams to identify testing gaps and improve overall test coverage
Document test cases results and automation frameworks to support knowledge sharing and team development
Requirements
Essential skills and experience:
6-8 years of professional experience in test automation or quality assurance engineering
Advanced proficiency in Python programming for test automation and scripting
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as PyTest or Robot Framework
Proven experience with API testing tools including Postman and the Requests library
Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML CSS and JavaScript
Practical experience with Selenium or similar browser automation tools
Working knowledge of version control systems particularly Git
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI
Experience designing and executing big data testing strategies
Ability to work from our Gdynia office 2-3 days per week
Desirable skills:
Hands-on experience using AI tools to assist with test preparation and automation script design
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform
Knowledge of PySpark for big data processing and testing
Understanding of containerisation and microservices testing approaches
