Our client is recruiting a Test Automation Engineer to join their growing team in Krakow. If youre an experienced automation professional with strong Playwright expertise and 10 years in test automation this contract role offers the opportunity to design and implement comprehensive testing strategies across multiple application layers.

Position Overview

As a Test Automation Engineer youll take ownership of test automation across the full technology stack. Your role is central to ensuring product quality and reliability. Youll design automated test suites build scalable automation frameworks and define testing strategies that cover UI API and integration layers. Your work directly impacts the speed and confidence with which the organisation delivers new features and updates to its users.

Responsibilities

Design implement and maintain automated tests for UI and API layers

Build automation frameworks using Playwright for frontend and integration testing

Develop reusable test components and patterns that improve team efficiency

Define and execute comprehensive test strategies across application layers

Perform exploratory testing to identify functional and edge-case issues

Analyse requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios

Ensure proper test coverage for new features and code changes

Contribute to continuous improvement of automation practices and tooling

Requirements

10 years of experience in test automation engineering

Proven expertise with Playwright for UI and integration testing

Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks and best practices

Experience defining and executing test strategies across multiple layers

Ability to design reusable test components and automation patterns

Proficiency in API testing and test scenario analysis

Experience with exploratory testing methodologies

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
