Job summary
The Sustaining Electrical / Electronics Engineer supports and improves released Polaroid products in mass production. The role focuses on electrical and electronic product improvements ECR/ECN execution cost-down initiatives quality issue resolution and production productivity improvements through better product design and manufacturability.
The engineer works closely with Manufacturing Quality Supply Chain Product Development Process Engineering suppliers and manufacturing partners to keep production stable and continuously improve released products.
Key responsibilities
Own sustaining electrical / electronics engineering activities for released products in production.
Support and drive ECR/ECN activities including technical impact assessment validation documentation updates and production implementation.
Lead product improvement and cost-down activities based on production issues quality data field feedback and supplier input.
Improve production productivity by improving product design manufacturability diagnostics assembly robustness and testability.
Investigate and resolve electrical/electronic production supplier and field quality issues using structured root cause analysis.
Support manufacturing test failure analysis component substitutions supplier technical discussions and engineering documentation updates.
Required qualifications and experience
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
5 years of experience in electronics engineering manufacturing engineering sustaining engineering or product support within consumer electronics or similar products.
Strong understanding of electronic components PCB assemblies embedded systems power circuits sensors interfaces and electronic test methods.
Practical understanding of manufacturing processes assembly processes test processes yield improvement and production troubleshooting.
Hands on experience using PLM systems.
Experience with ECR/ECN processes validation engineering documentation control and working with suppliers or manufacturing partners.
Familiarity with DFM/DFA PFMEA Control Plans SPC Lean Manufacturing 8D or similar structured problem-solving methods.
