Our client is recruiting a Splunk Specialist to join their infrastructure security team in Warsaw. Youll work on implementing and developing Splunk environments for enterprise clients managing infrastructure transitions and providing strategic consulting services. This is an excellent opportunity if you have 8-10 years of experience in Unix operations SIEM systems and Splunk administration and youre fluent in German.

Position Overview

As a Splunk Support Engineer youll take a lead role in designing implementing and optimising security information and event management (SIEM) systems for enterprise clients. Youll manage the full lifecycle of Splunk projects from initial consultation through to deployment and ongoing support. Your work will directly impact how organisations monitor secure and manage their IT infrastructure. Youll combine technical expertise with consulting skills advising clients on infrastructure expansion security strategy and best practice implementation across complex Unix and Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Splunk environments tailored to client infrastructure and security requirements

• Lead infrastructure transitions from Ubuntu to Red Hat ensuring seamless SIEM system connectivity throughout

• Connect infrastructure components and applications to SIEM systems optimising data collection and monitoring

• Provide strategic consulting on Splunk project expansion system reviews and security infrastructure improvements

• Manage incident problem and change management processes following ITIL best practice frameworks

• Advise clients on IT infrastructure security and security management system implementation and optimisation

• Collaborate with client teams to gather requirements troubleshoot issues and deliver solutions

• Document infrastructure configurations security protocols and operational procedures for client reference

Requirements

Essential:

• Fluent German language skills mandatory for direct client engagement and project delivery

• 8-10 years of proven experience in Unix operations and advanced Unix system administration

• Demonstrated experience implementing and developing Splunk environments in enterprise settings

• Hands-on experience managing infrastructure transitions from Ubuntu to Red Hat operating systems

• Experience connecting infrastructure components and applications to SIEM systems

• Knowledge of IT infrastructure security and security management systems

• Understanding of ITIL processes including incident management problem management and change management

• Splunk Administrator Certification (or willingness to obtain within first 6 months)

• Experience consulting on and implementing Splunk projects for enterprise clients

Technical Knowledge:

• Splunk Ubuntu Red Hat Python Puppet Ansible Git

• Unix/Linux system administration and infrastructure management

Desirable:

• Unix system administration certification

• Additional security certifications or qualifications
