This is an opportunity to help shape the engineering foundations that power Modernas software ecosystem. As a hands-on DevSecOps Software Engineer youll partner directly with developers to build secure scalable platform capabilities that simplify software delivery and accelerate innovation across the organization.

Working across software engineering cloud infrastructure automation AI-enabled developer tooling and platform operations youll play a key role in improving developer experience while helping teams deliver modern applications faster more securely and with greater reliability.

Heres What Youll Do:

Build and evolve automation that powers Modernas internal developer platform using technologies including Python TypeScript GitHub Actions Pulumi Docker AWS JFrog and a variety of vendor APIs.
Collaborate closely with application engineering teams (Builders) to migrate workloads onto standardized secure platform capabilities.
Support the migration and ongoing management of existing DevOps tooling by onboarding repositories and engineering teams validating platform behaviour improving developer workflows and documenting remediation paths.
Design build and maintain developer remote workspace infrastructure reusable templates container configurations base images development tooling and onboarding documentation that enable teams to become productive quickly.
Improve platform reliability and operational excellence through monitoring alerting dashboards runbooks and automation that reduces operational toil.
Develop clear internal documentation implementation examples and paved road guidance that enables engineering teams to adopt platform capabilities consistently.
Identify recurring developer challenges and continuously improve shared frameworks reusable templates automation and platform tooling that enhance engineering productivity.
Participate in operational support for owned platform services while continuously automating repetitive operational activities.
Help expand AI-assisted software development by integrating MCP-style capabilities packaging internal engineering tools supporting AI agents and improving developer experience through modern AI-powered workflows.
Contribute across the complete software lifecyclefrom design and implementation through cloud infrastructure deployment CI/CD and production operationswhile continually expanding your technical expertise.

Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications):

5 years of experience in software engineering platform engineeringDevOpsor a related role.
Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.
Hands-on experience building and operating solutions in AWS.
Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for production systems.
Interest in developer tooling platform engineering infrastructure automation and secure software delivery.
Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals including testing code review version control and system design.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing team priorities and contribute across a range of platform engineering responsibilities including areas outside immediate prior experience.

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

Familiar withinfrastructureascodetools.
Experience with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD platforms.
Experience with artifact repositories such asJFrogArtifactory Nexus GitHub Packages or similar.
Experience with security scanning tools dependency management code scanning or vulnerability remediation workflows.
Comfort partnering with multiple engineering teams and influencing adoption through strong technical execution.
