The Position

The Senior Solution Architect focuses on designing business-driven standards-based and future-ready solutions within a complex multiple solution or product this role you will design solutions that meet product requirements business priorities and enterprise standards while managing non-functional requirements (NFR) and fitness functions. You will lead others to solve complex problems maintain the vision and roadmap for multiple solutions provide technical oversight to product teams and evaluate new technologies to continuously improve existing solutions and manage technical debt.

Your Responsibilities

  • You own the documentation for critical architectural choices regarding instrument communication data acquisition and data integrity (Architecture Decision Records: ADR).

  • You design high-availability architectures for Instrument Control systems that include automated failover mechanisms and validated procedures to recover in-flight samples during a power or system failure without losing the analytical sequence.

  • You lead the technical design for the transition from hybrid paper/digital workflows to a fully integrated Paperless QC environment ensuring high system availability and offline-capable architectures where necessary.

  • You conduct technical deep-dives and feasibility studies on emerging lab technologies (e.g. evolving analytical technologies AR/VR for lab training AI-driven result review) to determine their fit within the Roche enterprise landscape.

  • You proactively identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks in legacy lab instruments ensuring that connectivity solutions do not become brittle or difficult to maintain.

  • You create and evolve the Conceptual & Logical Data Models specifically for lab instruments ensuring alignment with FAIR data principles (Findable Accessible Interoperable Reusable).

  • You architect and maintain the communication layer that facilitates seamless data exchange across the TechOps Quality ecosystem.

  • You design solutions that meet product requirements business priorities and enterprise standards. Manages Non-Functional Requirements (NFR) and fitness functions. Documents and evolves the architecture throughout the product life cycle and aligns with the architecture community for governance. Applies frameworks in a Complex or Multiple Solution or Product Context.

  • You lead others to solve complex problems; use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions. Maintain the vision roadmap and current landscape for multiple solutions. Assess and consult on the impacts and dependencies of initiatives on capabilities risk and the application landscape. Create Conceptual & Logical Data Models taxonomies ontologies and Integration pathways for the product. Defines and drives reference architectures patterns NFRs and fitness functions ensuring Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) are recorded and published for multiple solutions or the product. Drives external technology trends and assesses feasibility including vendor assessments.

  • You communicate difficult concepts clearly and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view. Drive information sharing across the complete product.

  • Develop and maintain the products technology roadmap. Provide technical oversight guidance and consultation on specific technologies for product teams. Improve existing solutions manages technical debt and researches evaluates pilots and drives the adoption of new technologies. Identifies opportunities to enhance value and business processes within a Complex or Multiple Solution or Product Context.

  • Operate within a complex or multiple solution or product context.

  • Apply in-depth and expert-level knowledge in multiple technology areas. Proactively contributes to Architecture Practices development and mentoring.

Who You Are

  • Demonstrated experience designing business-driven standards-based future-ready solutions within a complex or multiple solution/product context. Knowledge of the domain of laboratory instruments and analytical procedures is an advantage

  • Experience maintaining the vision roadmap and current landscape for multiple solutions and assessing the impacts of initiatives on capabilities risk and application landscapes

  • Proven track record of proactively contributing to architecture practices development and mentoring others

  • In-depth and expert-level knowledge in multiple technology areas incl. Windows based client and server technologies databases and virtualization

  • You are proficient in creating Conceptual & Logical Data Models taxonomies ontologies and Integration pathways for products

  • Ability to define and drive reference architectures patterns NFRs and fitness functions

  • You are able to drive external technology trends and assess feasibility for multiple solutions including conducting vendor assessments

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate difficult concepts and influence stakeholders to adopt different perspectives

  • Proactive mindset to identify opportunities to enhance value improve existing solutions manage technical debt and lead teams in identifying innovative solutions

Information about the function

You will join the Roche Digital Technology (RDT) area dedicated to Pharma Technical Operations Quality a critical domain that ensures the robust daily operation of our global quality and compliance systems. We are co-creating and executing a multi-year digital strategy anchored under the Quality Unites Us program. Within this environment we focus on unlocking operational efficiencies for Quality Assurance (QA) by simplifying our Quality Management System (QMS) and accelerating the transition to a fully paperless Quality Control (QC) execution. You will help us shift our landscape toward a predictive compliance insights ecosystem. Ultimately your work will drive solution harmonization and support the seamless integration ensuring Roche can rapidly deliver life-changing medicines to patients.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Warsaw Grafit is 228900.00 PLN-425100.00 PLN. Final compensation will be determined by a number of factors including your skills experience qualifications and addition to base pay this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus with a target of 20% subject to both individual and company performance.

This position also offers an attractive benefits package.
