Job Summary

Our client a new Silicon Valley based profitable B2C product startup building innovative mobile solutions for the planet is now looking for a talented and experienced SeniorProduct Manager to join its expanding team.

Location:Europe/Asia
Type: Remote Full-time
Start date: ASAP
About project and role:

Based in Silicon Valley and backed by top-tier venture capital we build consumer technology products that help millions of people stay secure private and connected online.
Our flagship VPN product serves over 10 million monthly active users across mobile and desktop platforms. With additional products in development it were scaling globally and investing heavily in product quality performance and growth.

Were looking for a Senior Product Manager to own active users on companys Windows and macOS apps a small part of the business today. Growing it is the job. Youre measured on installs daily active users (DAU) connection success and retention not features VPN experience needed. Learning the product deeply fast is.
You lead two engineering teams one per platform (about 10 engineers dedicated QA and a desktop designer) so keeping both focused on what matters is core to the job. You will reportto Head of Product.

What youll do:

    Grow desktop users

    • Own the full funnel from web and email to download sign-in first connection and day-7 and day-30 activity. Work with Growth Mobile and Web to bring mobile users to desktop.
    • Know why each number moves or stalls. Turn big drops and recurring user feedback into hypotheses tickets and A/B tests and drive cross-team work to done.
    • Keep metrics trustworthy: one definition and source of truth cross-checked and you can explain how each was calculated.

    Plan and ship
    • Own desktop strategy and roadmap: where to invest what to stop and how we win against other VPNs. Decide what each team builds and why write clear specs and shape the UX with our desktop designer or prototype it yourself with AI and design tools.
    • Run bug triage and backlog refinement and set clear measurable goals for each team.
    • Keep work in progress small and ship small and often. Hit your dates or flag slips early and fix whatever slows the teams down.
    • Nothing ships without tested acceptance criteria and a staged rollout. After every release check crashes connection success and customer tickets and feedback. Prioritize bugs and tech debt with clear rules.
    Lead the product

    • Talk to users regularly and know the apps deeply (connection logic crashes OS constraints) so you can answer questions without routing them to engineering.
    • Set direction and explain it so both teams can make good calls without you.
    • Report progress as KPIs moved not builds shipped and share bad news early.

What success looks like in 90 days

  1. 30 days: Youve used both apps daily talked to users met both teams and key partners and validated our desktop metrics. You can walk us through the funnel its biggest leak and how long it takes today to ship a fix or feature.
  2. 60 days: Funnel targets strategy and roadmap are agreed and each team has a prioritized plan.
  3. 90 days: At least one growth experiment has shipped a key number is moving (or you can show why not) and bug fixes features and improvements reach users faster than at day 30.

Wath you bring:

  • A growth track record: youve owned a consumer product metric and moved it. Tell us which one by how much and how.
  • Technical depth: you can discuss architecture networking and OS trade-offs with engineers and you learn new domains fast and accurately.
  • Hands-on with data: you build and check funnels yourself. We use Metabase on ClickHouse and PostHog mostly with AI so you dont need to write SQL from scratch. You do need to read check and explain it.
  • Delivery you can show: youve kept remote engineering teams focused managed scope and tech debt and made them ship faster.
  • Fluent in English (Upper-Intermediate or above).

Nice to Have:

  • Desktop shipping experience on Windows and/or macOS including releases and post-release quality.
  • Background in VPN security privacy or networking products.
  • Subscription product experience: paywalls pricing sign-in and conversion optimization.
  • Experience with crash and performance monitoring (e.g. Sentry) and lifecycle messaging tools (e.g. CleverTap).

Why Join:

  • Own desktop growth end to end.
  • A short path from idea to shipped with a direct line to leadership.
  • AI-first tooling across product and engineering.
  • Remote with in-person team offsites a few times a year.
