About the Team

Application Integration Services (AIS) squad provides critical engineering capabilities supporting integration security middleware cloud platforms and application modernization across Euroclear.

The team delivers and supports:

As the Krakow engineering hub continues to grow we are looking for a senior expert capable of combining deep technical expertise with coaching and leadership responsibilities.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Development Expert to drive complex technical integration initiatives and strengthen the squads expertise in application security authentication identity management and cloud-native engineering.

The role includes supporting and managing existing Microsoft Service Fabric on-premises environments that host business-critical applications. It also involves contributing to the evolution of these applications towards modern cloud and container hosting solutions including Azure AKS Azure App Service and OpenShift.

The successful candidate will act as a senior technical authority helping development teams design implement troubleshoot and secure business-critical solutions while coaching and mentoring engineers across the organization.

This role requires strong hands-on expertise and the ability to engage effectively with developers architects security specialists analysts and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Service Fabric and On-Premises Platform Engineering

  • Operate administer and support Microsoft Service Fabric clusters hosted in an on-premises environment.
  • Support Service Fabric cluster lifecycle activities including installation configuration upgrades patching monitoring capacity management resiliency and operational maintenance.
  • Support the deployment and lifecycle management of applications hosted on Service Fabric.
  • Investigate and resolve complex Service Fabric platform and application incidents.
  • Analyse cluster health application health performance availability and resource consumption.
  • Support Service Fabric security certificate management access controls and communication between cluster components.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell-based automation for Service Fabric administration and operational activities.
  • Provide technical guidance to application teams on Service Fabric deployment diagnostics reliability and operational best practices.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for issues affecting Service Fabric clusters and the applications hosted on them.

Advanced Security & Identity Integration

  • Design and support enterprise authentication and authorization solutions.
  • Implement and troubleshoot OAuth 2.0 OpenID Connect SAML WS-Federation and related protocols.
  • Support security token services used by business-critical applications.
  • Lead complex token migration and identity integration initiatives.
  • Integrate applications with corporate identity providers and external identity systems.
  • Support PKI certificates cryptographic keys and trust chains.

Technical Integration

  • Design and implement complex application-to-application integrations.
  • Support API security patterns and secure service-to-service communication.
  • Guide teams on enterprise integration best practices.
  • Support hybrid environments spanning on-premises and cloud platforms.
  • Drive modernization of legacy integration components.

Cloud & Platform Engineering

  • Design and operate secure cloud infrastructures.
  • Support Azure-based services and containerized workloads.
  • Contribute to platform engineering initiatives.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code and automation practices.
  • Define operational excellence and resiliency standards.

Technical Leadership

  • Coach junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Participate in architecture and engineering reviews.
  • Influence technical strategy and engineering standards.
  • Contribute to Communities of Practice and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex incidents and investigations.
