Theyre currently seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their team in Krakow on a contract basis. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated machine learning projects whilst building robust reusable Python infrastructure that supports the wider engineering team.

Position Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist youll play a critical role in designing and developing the Python ecosystem that underpins the companys machine learning capabilities. Youll be responsible for creating high-quality maintainable Python packages implementing comprehensive testing frameworks and enhancing CI/CD pipelines. Your work will directly support machine learning workflows enabling data scientists and engineers to build and deploy models more efficiently. This position combines software engineering excellence with data science expertise making it ideal for someone who enjoys both building infrastructure and supporting advanced analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality Python libraries for machine learning applications

• Build reusable Python packages that serve multiple teams and projects

• Implement robust testing frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability

• Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment

• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to support machine learning workflows

• Work with Docker and Kubernetes to containerise and orchestrate applications

• Apply observability practices to monitor and improve system performance

• Support GPU-accelerated workloads and optimise computational efficiency

• Contribute to speech technology projects and related data science initiatives

• Write clean maintainable code following software engineering best practices

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in data science software engineering or related fields

• Deep understanding of the Python ecosystem and its libraries

• Strong experience building and maintaining Python packages

• Hands-on experience with software testing practices including unit and integration testing

• Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines

• Ability to write clean maintainable and well-documented code

• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks particularly PyTorch

• Understanding of GPU-accelerated workloads and computational optimisation

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and orchestration

• Knowledge of observability practices for monitoring and debugging

• Exposure to speech technologies or similar specialised machine learning applications

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
