We are looking for an experienced Senior Character Concept Artist with exceptional artistic taste and a passion for designing stylized characters that feel alive expressive and full of personality.

We believe great character design goes beyond an attractive illustration. Every silhouette proportion costume detail expression and pose should tell us something about who a character is.

In this role you will create memorable character concepts for game development and co-development projects collaborating closely with Character Art Directors 3D Character Artists and Animators to bring compelling personalities to life.

This is a senior hands-on role for someone who understands the emotional side of character design and knows how to turn creative ideas into distinctive production-ready characters.

Character Design & Personality

• Design appealing stylized characters with distinctive silhouettes proportions and visual identities.

• Communicate character personality emotion background and gameplay role through visual design.

• Explore facial expressions gestures costumes accessories and color relationships that reinforce character identity.

• Create characters that are instantly recognizable and engaging at different gameplay camera distances.

• Balance strong stylization with clear design logic and production requirements.

Concept Exploration & Production

• Develop thumbnails sketches design variations expression sheets and detailed character concepts.

• Explore multiple creative directions before refining selected designs.

• Prepare clear character turnarounds callouts material references and production documentation.

• Collaborate with 3D Character Artists to ensure concepts translate effectively into game-ready assets.

• Work with Animators to support expressive movement and character performances.

Collaboration & Artistic Quality

• Work closely with Art Directors Concept Leads Character Artists and Game Designers.

• Incorporate creative feedback while preserving the original personality and intent of each design.

• Contribute ideas that elevate character appeal storytelling and overall artistic quality.

• Maintain consistent visual language across a diverse character roster.

• Support the development of artistic guidelines and character quality benchmarks.

• 5 years of professional experience as a Character Concept Artist or related role in game development.

• Experience contributing to commercially released game productions.

• Exceptional portfolio demonstrating strong stylized character design and distinctive character personalities.

• Excellent understanding of anatomy shape language silhouettes proportions color and costume design.

• Proven ability to communicate personality emotion and storytelling through visual design.

• Strong skills in sketching painting visual exploration and character iteration.

• Experience producing clear production-ready character concepts for 3D artists.

• Strong artistic judgment and attention to the subtle details that improve character appeal.

• Proficiency in Photoshop Procreate or equivalent professional tools.

• Ability to collaborate with Art Directors and multidisciplinary production teams.

• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.

• Experience with highly stylized simplified or pixel-inspired character aesthetics.

• Experience designing creatures enemies and non-human characters.

• Strong understanding of character expressions and animation-friendly design.

• Experience with mobile game development.

• Basic 3D skills for blockouts or design exploration.

• Experience developing original character IPs or supporting established visual franchises.

• Previous experience working in a co-development environment.
