Senior Calypso Developer

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Calypso Developer to join a newly formed technology team supporting the Capital Markets operations of a leading European banking organization.

This is a unique opportunity to help build a team from the ground up and play a key role in the evolution support customization and enhancement of a large-scale Calypso environment used across Front Office Middle Office Risk and Back Office functions.

The role also offers long-term project stability exposure to complex financial products and the possibility of future internalization with the client after a certain period of collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain Calypso customizations and integrations.
• Support production and business-critical Capital Markets activities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders analysts support teams and architects.
• Develop Java-based solutions within the Calypso ecosystem.
• Optimize performance troubleshoot incidents and implement enhancements.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical best practices.
• Participate in system upgrades and strategic platform initiatives.

Qualifications :

Requirements

• 6 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Calypso.
• Solid Java development background.
• Experience with Oracle/SQL databases.
• Understanding of Capital Markets and financial products.
• Experience with integrations APIs messaging systems or event-driven architectures.
• Ability to work directly with business and technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English: C1

Nice to Have

• Experience in investment banking environments.
• Calypso upgrade or migration projects.
• Linux/Unix administration knowledge.
• Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD practices.
