Our Risk teams develop comprehensive processes to monitor assess and manage the risk of expected and unexpected events that may have an adverse impact on the firm. Risk professionals execute critical day-to-day risk management activities lead projects and contribute to the ongoing advancement of a robust risk management program. Effective coordination with executive management business units control departments and technology is critical for success.

RISK TESTING GROUP (RTG)

The Risk Testing Group (RTG) is a multidisciplinary group of quantitative and financial experts at Goldman Sachs with presence in New York Frankfurt Dallas Salt Lake City Bangalore Hyderabad Warsaw and Mumbai. RTG is responsible for independent oversight of all financial and non-financial risks ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal expectations. The groups primary mandate is the independent review of data processes controls qualitative models and systems that mainly cover Credit Market Operational and Liquidity risk stripes/types.

RTG is responsible for:

• Identifying potential material errors or omissions related to data accuracy
• Conformance with regulatory instructions and
• Ongoing effectiveness of key controls
  

RTG is looking for an Analyst to work on challenging projects that entail performing analysis to ensure holistic risk management practices. The role will involve interactions with multiple stakeholders across the firm and regulators across different geographies and offers exposure to financial products risk management tools quantification techniques and a wide-ranging technology stack.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop an understanding of firms risk management framework models methodology techniques and processes aligned with regulatory expectations
• Perform independent reviews for credit market and liquidity risks and capital frameworks applying structured analytical and data-driven review methodologies
• Perform independent validation of data architecture and IT infrastructure technology systems and platforms databases code data pipelines and data-lineage controls that support risk data aggregation frameworks in line with BCBS 239 principles
• Design and deploy generative AI advanced analytics and automation solutions across the independent validation function including control testing data profiling and transaction monitoring.
• Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships and present results to senior management committees and regulators

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree required. Masters in a quantitative discipline preferred
• 1-3 years of qualitative and quantitative risk management experience (credit market and liquidity risk)
• Programming skills and experience with an object-oriented programming language such as C or Python
• Proficiency in SQL and data analytics tools for querying modifying and analyzing large datasets
