Build the data foundations behind modern banking

Are you curious about how data turns into products and decisions Do you enjoy asking questions understanding how things fit together and working with different people to create better customer experiences

At Avarda were looking for ambitious graduates and early-career professionals to join our 18-month Product Trainee Program in Gdańsk within our Data Platform team.

From day one youll become part of a real product team working alongside experienced Product Managers data engineers analysts and business specialists. Youll learn by doing contribute to meaningful work take ownership of real initiatives and gradually grow into the role of a Junior Product Manager with the support of an experienced mentor.

Throughout the programme youll gain a broad understanding of how data moves through a bank from a customer action or card transaction through core banking payment and servicing systems into trusted datasets that support reporting analytics and business decisions across our European markets.

Few people in a bank can explain that journey end-to-end. You will.


What Youll Work On

Every product decision starts with data people can trust. This is a product role not an engineering role. Your responsibility will be to understand:

  • How data flows through the bank

  • Who depends on that data

  • Why the data matters

  • How to ensure the right things get built

During the programme youll:
  • Learn how data is generated within core banking payments and servicing systems

  • Work closely with analysts Risk Finance and other business teams

  • Understand how data is consumed across different markets and functions

  • Participate in discussions with external data providers and partners

  • Document data flows and business processes

  • Write clear business requirements and product tickets

  • Support prioritisation and roadmap discussions

  • Help bridge the gap between business stakeholders and engineering teams

Youll also develop expertise in:
  • Data governance and quality

  • Privacy and regulatory requirements

  • Banking and financial services data flows

  • Automated decision-making processes including:

    • Customer onboarding

    • Credit limit management

    • Fraud prevention

  • Product management practices and stakeholder management

Educational Background

Youre a recent graduate or early in your career.

Your degree could be in:

  • Computer Science

  • Data Science

  • Engineering

  • Information Systems

  • Mathematics

  • Economics

  • Business

  • Another relevant field

What matters most is your curiosity drive and willingness to learn.
