Operations Manager
Job Summary
Crane Worldwide Logistics is a leader in supply chain solutions with over 130 locations across 30 countries providing individual services that address our clients logistics challenges.
Accountable for leading directing and managing site operations to ensure consistent high level service quality and client satisfaction profitable cost efficient operations and compliance with company policies and procedures and other regulatory guidelines. Reviews operating budgets for revenues and expenses and monitors compliance to
contracts.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead direct and manage site operations to ensure that the operations staff executes service agreements at or above the clients standards.
- Maximize profitability through superior client service effective and prompt communications and follow-up on all pending matters with the client.
- Plan and monitor daily staffing schedules and adjusts accordingly to ensure adequate staffing levels that support operational demands and business objectives.
- Manage revenue and expenses to budget constraints.
- Responsible to train develop and motivate employees to peak performance and growth in their knowledge and responsibilities
- Oversee accounts receivable including client invoicing and collections as needed
- Process incoming vendor invoices (cost of transportation and overhead expenses) as needed
- Analyze market trends to further develop scalable and strategic operations practices
- Execution of the applicable KPIs per company standard.
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements
- Talking hearing and using hands to operate a computer keyboard mouse and other computer components
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Walking within the warehouse and inspecting freight
Other Skills and Abilities
- Computer Literate
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office internet web based and job specific software applications
- Ability to manage the financial aspects of the department (purchasing budget preparation and review financial reporting and monitoring expenses).
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Required Bachelors degree preferred
- Minimum seven years related experience required
- Minimum six years industry experience required
- Minimum five years supervisory experience required
Certifications and Licenses
- Professional certification may be required in some areas
