Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Java Developer to provide support across the Governance Crew and wider IB Streams while interacting with the Group CTO. This role ensures the Investment Bank remains aligned to both IB and group-level architectural direction.

Please note that working from the customers office is required 3 days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Create maintain and evolve architectural standards guardrails reference architectures and best practices aligned with IB and GCTO strategy
  • Own and run key architectural governance processes within the IB CTO function to ensure proactive architectural control across the division
  • Act as the GCTO point of contact for the Investment Bank representing IB CTO in group-led initiatives
  • Ensure clear and relevant communication flows across group-led initiatives
  • Triage incoming IB and GCTO work to determine impact and coordinate responses
  • Shield the core architecture team by absorbing operational data-gathering and coordination tasks
  • Support IB engineering teams with early engagement on new initiatives
  • Address architectural considerations from ideation through to delivery
  • Translate complex Group-level technical strategies into actionable roadmaps for local engineering teams
Requirements
  • 7 years of hands-on background in software engineering with skills in system design API design and cloud-native patterns
  • Showcase of a proven track record designing and delivering scalable secure enterprise systems
  • 5 years of experience as a Lead/Principal Engineer working with high-level ambiguous or shifting requirements and translating them into pragmatic technical direction
  • Background in solution architecture is a plus
  • Experience operating within complex highly regulated or governance-heavy environments requiring transparency process and clear documentation
  • Capability to grasp complex Group-level technical strategies and translate them into actionable roadmaps for local engineering teams
  • Familiarity with working independently to create structure clarity and direction
  • Understanding of collaborative team-oriented decision-making in architecture
  • Competency in challenging status-quo processes and designing efficient ways to achieve business goals
  • Fluency in English and cultural awareness to navigate a multinational enterprise
