Junior Infrastructure Engineer (operating systems)

We are looking for Junior Infrastructure Engineer (operating systems) to join Sopra Steria Polska for a team that supports one of our French clients in the telecommunications industry.

Please note that we can only offer cooperation to candidates located in Poland who are willing to commute to our office in Katowice.

Responsibilities:

• Administration and support of Linux and Windows server environments.
• Monitoring infrastructure and applications to ensure availability performance and stability.
• Incident and problem management (2nd line support) including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Supporting Kubernetes-based environments and containerized applications.
• Participating in on-call duties shift-based support and collaboration with French-speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications :

Must have requirements:

• 1-2 years of commercial experience in a similar Infrastructure Systems Administration or Technical Support role.
• Good knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems including administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with application administration and application support.
• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Hands-on experience in application monitoring log analysis and incident management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Very good command of French (min. B2) and English with the ability to communicate effectively in an international environment.
• Willingness to participate in on-call duties and support activities outside of standard business hours when required.
• Availability to work in shifts (between 7:00 - 19:00).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to document processes procedures and technical solutions while sharing knowledge with team members.
• Proactive detail-oriented and eager to learn new technologies.
