Junior Data Scientist

In this role a typical day will include:

• Develop test and select machine learning models to support data science projects making decisions regarding model selection and data processing methods

• Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights and inform decision-making

• Collaborate with senior data scientists and stakeholders to achieve project objectives

• Document and communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Explore and recommend innovative artificial intelligence solutions to enhance team capabilities and improve data science processes and tools

• Balance project requirements with technical constraints using sound judgment

• Build and maintain ML models that provide predictive and prescriptive recommendations to the business.

• Interpret models on behalf of the business to provide actionable insights.

• Maintain and update deployed models as needed. AWS Sagemaker needed.

• Thoroughly analyze and comprehend business use cases to extract comprehensive insights and requirements.

What Youll Bring to Alcon:

• Education: Bachelors degree/ Master degree in Computer Science/Statistics or related field.

• Experience: 6 months-1year of direct related experience.

• Language: Fluent in English

• Great at solving problems highly logical and creative problem solver with a passion for overcoming complex challenges.

• Strong technical and analytical abilities a knack for driving impact and growth.

• Thrive on teamwork and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Understanding of statistical inferences traditional machine learning algorithms time-series analysis statistical simulation neural networks.

• Proven experience in solving problems through data.

• Working knowledge of Python (Pandas NumPY Sklearn Keras or TensorFlow).

• Working knowledge of SQL / PostgreSQL / Microsoft SQL.
