As the Head of Discipline you willbe responsible fordevelopingWater and Environmentteam of expertslocatedinWrocławalong with providing technicalexpertiseon customer will provide functional leadership set discipline direction and standards and enable effective delivery through project teams.

A keycomponentof your work will be to enable promote and grow collaboration across COWI by building relationships and trust with key stakeholders within the COWI network as well as other Head ofDisciplines.

Furthermore on a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Contribute to projects using your subjectexpertise.
  • Engage in the development and implementation of the departments strategy action and growth plan.
  • Perform day-to-day people management for thedisciplinesemployees including weekly timesheet follow up monthly overtime follow-up checking hours allocationoperatinglocal and global time registration systems etc.
  • Give guidance and support todisciplinesemployees by promoting collaboration and providing continuous and objective feedback.
  • Be responsible foremployees technical and professional developmentorganizingIDDsandquarterlyfollow up along withsettingclear targets for competency & performance development and employee engagement fordisciplinesemployees.
  • Provide close support to the Head of Engineering in ongoing resource management in collaboration with BL Heads of Projects Project Managers and Resource Managers.
  • Supportingenrolmentof organisational changes on thedisciplinelevel.
  • Collaborate withHead of EngineeringManagingDirectorandHR Business Partneron topics such as recruitment promotions salaryreviewand terminations.
  • Promote employee engagement and help build a culture of inclusion and diversity within the discipline group.

On top of that you have:

  • Masters degree in environmental or civil engineering or related specialization with at least 10 or more years of relevant experience in the design of drainagewastwewaterand/or water supply systems forinfrastructureand/orurban related projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in both short- and long-term resource management.
  • Experience in inspiring people and teams to perform ata high level.
  • Flexibility to travel on short business trips abroad for up to 2 weeks and a few times per year.
  • Fluency in the English language both written and verbal.
