Job Summary
Guidewire BillingCenter Senior Developer
Key Responsibilities
Design configure develop and enhance Guidewire BillingCenter applications based on business and technical requirements.
Develop and customize Gosu code business rules workflows UI screens data models plugins batch processes and integration components.
Work on BillingCenter configuration and integration areas including payments invoices commissions delinquency account billing producer billing and billing plans.
Collaborate with business analysts architects QA teams and client stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Design and implement integrations with external systems using REST/SOAP web services messaging events batch interfaces and Guidewire integration frameworks.
Participate in technical design discussions impact analysis estimation sprint planning and solution reviews.
Perform code reviews enforce Guidewire best practices and mentor junior developers.
Troubleshoot production issues perform root cause analysis and support performance optimization and system stability.
Develop and execute unit test cases support functional testing regression testing integration testing and defect resolution.
Ensure deliverables meet quality security maintainability and documentation standards.
Required Skills and Experience
5 8 years of IT experience with strong hands-on experience in Guidewire BillingCenter development and implementation.
Strong proficiency in Gosu programming Guidewire configuration data model extensions UI configuration rules workflows and batch processes.
Experience with BillingCenter integration frameworks including plugins messaging web services REST/SOAP APIs and event-driven integrations.
Good understanding of P&C insurance billing concepts such as billing plans payment plans invoicing collections commissions account billing and producer billing.
Experience working with Guidewire BillingCenter version 10.x or later including cloud or on-premise implementations.
Working knowledge of Java XML SQL relational databases and application debugging tools.
Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery sprint planning estimation build management and defect tracking tools.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Git Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
Strong analytical problem-solving debugging and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with distributed teams and client stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Guidewire BillingCenter certification such as Developer Specialist or ACE certification is highly preferred.
Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform AWS Azure or cloud migration projects.
Exposure to other Guidewire modules such as PolicyCenter or ClaimCenter.
Experience in production support application maintenance upgrades or transformation programs.
Knowledge of performance tuning secure coding practices and enterprise integration patterns.
Experience working in client-facing roles within insurance technology delivery engagements.
Role Expectations
Lead technical delivery for assigned BillingCenter workstreams with minimal supervision.
Provide solution recommendations aligned with Guidewire product standards and implementation best practices.
Maintain strong collaboration with business architecture development testing and support teams.
