Finance Managed Services (FMS) in PwC Poland is rapidly expanding as part of the Managed Services Operations. You can play an important role in supporting and transforming the operations of our domestic and international Clients. We continuously enhance our operations by applying best practices streamlining processes and integrating cutting-edge technological solutions for our customers. Join us in shaping and transforming operations for our domestic and international clients as we delve into diverse complex projects and collaborate closely with expert consulting teams to provide comprehensive finance services including accounting and reporting tax as well as financial planning & analysis across various sectors in the region.

We are looking for:
Accounting Expert - project environment

Your future role:
  • Managing end-to-end General Ledger accounting processes including complex journal entries accruals provisions and reclassifications
  • Overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of month-end quarter-end and year-end closing activities
  • Performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations including the resolution of complex or aged items
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for GL accounting providing guidance and technical support to the team and stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS local GAAP and internal policies
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimization and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with internal and external auditors during audit processes
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members in their professional development
  • Participating in or leading projects related to system implementations migrations or process transitions.

Apply if you have:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Proven experience with month-end/year-end closing processes and complex reconciliations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders
  • Professional working proficiency in Englishwith proven ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting
  • Proactive detail-oriented approach and ability to work independently.

Nice to have:
  • Professional working proficiency in German with proven ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting.
