Functional Analyst (German speaking)

We are looking for an experienced Functional Analyst (German Speaking) to join our team and contribute to one of the most strategic transformation programs within a leading international bank. This long-term initiative focuses on transforming the banks Target Operating Model (TOM) across the Private Banking and Investment Management domains.

In this role you will act as the link between business and technology analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical user stories that enable successful solution delivery. You will work in an international Agile environment alongside business stakeholders architects developers and testing teams contributing to the full software development lifecycle.

Analyze business and functional requirements related to Private Banking and Investment Management solutions.
Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and technical user stories for development teams.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders Solution Architects Developers Product Owners and QA teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Analyze existing applications interfaces and business processes to identify functional improvements and integration requirements.
Define and document APIs integration scenarios and data exchange formats (e.g. REST JSON).
Support solution design by ensuring functional consistency across multiple systems and applications.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement sprint planning reviews and retrospectives.
Support testing activities by clarifying functional requirements and validating delivered solutions.
Continuously expand knowledge of banking products investment processes and new technologies to support the evolving needs of the transformation program.

Experience as a Functional Analyst Business Analyst or Systems Analyst within the banking or financial services industry.
Understanding of banking products particularly securities processing.
Knowledge of portfolio management systems and their integration with other banking platforms.
Understanding of investment advisory processes and MiFID regulations.
Experience gathering analyzing and documenting functional and non-functional requirements.
Experience creating functional specifications and technical user stories in an Agile environment.
Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases for data analysis.
Basic knowledge of Java or other programming languages to effectively collaborate with development teams.
Experience specifying REST APIs and working with JSON data formats.
Strong analytical thinking communication and stakeholder management skills.
Professional working proficiency in English.
German language skills at minimum B1 level (required).

Nice to have

Experience within Private Banking Wealth Management or Asset Management.
Knowledge of AI-supported analysis or requirements engineering.
Experience working on large-scale banking transformation programs.
Familiarity with cloud-based integration solutions.
