Frontend Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design develop and maintain safety-critical software solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver features
• Build responsive high-performance user interfaces and reusable components for real-time operational displays
• Write clean maintainable and well-documented code
• Review code and contribute to shared engineering standards and best practices
• Test debug and improve software throughout the development lifecycle
• Support deployment monitoring and ongoing improvement of production systems
• Assist with writing operational and technical documentation

Professional Requirements

• University degree in Software Engineering Computer Science or a related field
• Professional experience building production web frontends with TypeScript and React (or a comparable component framework)
• Strong command of modern JavaScript/TypeScript HTML5 CSS and browser fundamentals (rendering state async debugging with browser devtools)
• Experience writing automated tests unit and end-to-end (e.g. Vitest/Jest and Playwright/Cypress)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and development tooling (e.g. Jenkins GitLab)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams
• English language proficiency both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in software development is preferred
• Familiarity with modern build tooling (Vite/Webpack) and modular or plugin-based frontend architectures
• Experience with state management at scale (Redux Toolkit or similar) and a component library (e.g. Mantine MUI Chakra)
• Experience with data-visualization or mapping libraries (D3 MapLibre Leaflet)
• Experience with real-time data (WebSockets) and/or desktop delivery via Electron
• A strong eye for accessibility usability and performance in operator-facing UIs
• A background in the ATM/ATC domain is a plus
• Solid problem-solving skills and an ability to work independently
• A user-centric approach combined with the ability and willingness to learn
