Financial Accountant (Month-End Close & Reconciliations) 2nd shift

As a Financial Accountant at QVC Group youll play a key role in our daily accounting operations working closely with both the Accounting team and colleagues across various departments. Youll be hands-on with monitoring reconciling and recording activities related to Procure to Pay (P2P) prepaids gift cards and other accounts receivable. Guided by the Accounting Manager youll have the opportunity to make a real impact while developing your skills in a collaborative international environment.

Where Youll Work

This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite from 3 to 5 times per month in our office on Wielicka 30 in Kraków (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company).

What Youll Do

• Drive Financial Excellence: Support the monthly close by preparing journal entries reconciling general ledger accounts and ensuring accurate reporting in line with company deadlines and GAAP.
• Be a Key Player in Procure-to-Pay: Record monthly P2P accrued expenses by researching invoices in the purchasing system (Coupa) and collaborating with purchase order owners and accounting team members.
• Ensure Process Integrity: Prepare GR/IR reconciliations to confirm goods received match invoices in the clearing account and proactively research and resolve reconciling items.
• Manage Prepaid Expenses: Oversee the tracking reconciliation and amortization of prepaid expenses (insurance rent tax and other miscellaneous prepaids) ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Monitor Gift Card Activity: Keep a close eye on the purchase and use of gift cards ensuring all activity is accurately recorded.
• Champion Receivables: Reconcile Other Accounts Receivable to ensure timely collection of monies due to the company.
  

What Youll Bring

• Flexibility:Availability to work 2nd shift (3pm 11pm) supporting our US market and collaborating with global teams.
• Experience:At least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience ready to take your expertise to the next level.
• Language Skills:Very good English skills (C1 level) enabling you to communicate confidently in an international environment.
• Tech Savvy:Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills (spreadsheets data input formulas etc.) to help you work efficiently and effectively.
• Accounting Know-How: Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices includingpractical U.S. GAAP knowledgeandaccrual accounting experience with the ability to apply accounting judgment tomonth-end close reconciliations prepaid expenses and P2P accruals.
• Collaboration:Strong interpersonal and writing skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and interact effectively in a remote capacity.
• Problem Solver:A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Attention to Detail:High degree of accuracy and meticulousness in your work.
• Bonus Points:Previous experience with SAP is a plus!
