Axpo has been operating in the Polish market for over 20 years now. It employs about 260 people and is one of the largest independent offtakers of green energy. Customers in Poland benefit from tailor-made offers for the purchase and supply of energy and gas based on structured and long-term contracts. Axpo Polska also provides services to more than 25000 companies from the small and medium-sized enterprises segment and since April 2020 it has only been offering energy with a certified origin from renewable energy sources. While supporting energy transition in Poland the Company also implements large-scale photovoltaic projects.
Currently we are looking for an Energy Academy Attendee
What you will do:
Support exchange-traded and bilateral OTC transactions across energy markets
Prepare valuations and analyses for internal and external stakeholders
Assist in developing trading strategies for gas power EUAs and guarantees of origin
Support sales teams in preparing offers for standard and structured energy products
Help implement and monitor completed trades and transactions
Contribute to analytical tools reporting and process improvements
What you bring & who you are:
University degree in Engineering Economics IT Mathematics Finance or a related field; ideally you are currently completing or have recently completed a Masters degree
Strong analytical thinking and an interest in understanding energy markets trading strategies and market dynamics
Experience with Python and confidence working with data analysis tools; ideally you also have exposure to GCP SQL or data visualization tools
First practical experience through internships academic projects student roles or similar activities is an advantage
Comfortable working with numbers problem-solving and handling multiple tasks in a structured and detail-oriented way
Clear communicator who enjoys collaborating with different teams and stakeholders in an international environment
Proactive curious and eager to learn with a hands-on mindset and openness to feedback and continuous development
Adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities can evolve quickly
Very good Polish and English skills both written and spoken

About the programme:
The Axpo Energy Academy is a structured development programme designed to help you build practical experience in energy trading and portfolio management while learning from experienced professionals across Axpo.
Phase 1: Internship
Build foundational knowledge of European energy markets trading processes and portfolio management. You will work on real assignments receive mentorship and gain hands-on experience with analytical and operational tasks.
Phase 2: Temporary Contract
Deepen your expertise through rotations project-based work and closer involvement in trading and commercial activities. You will continue learning through structured feedback collaboration and exposure to different areas of the business.
Phase 3: Permanent Position
Upon successful completion of the programme you will transition into a permanent role within Axpo Polska with further development opportunities advanced training and long-term career growth support.
