WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON

In our team you will contribute to Space Mission Softwareprojects within the Engineering Studies Section part of the Flight Segment& Robotics Business Unit.

In thisEarth Observation Simulation Engineer role you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Analysingtechnical documentation describing the instruments onboard space missions.
Analysingand/or defining algorithms to simulate the behaviour of different payloads.
Coding andunit testing algorithms in C and/or Python to simulate the behaviour ofdifferent payloads.
Implementingadditional functionalities in C and/or Python to support the simulationframework.
Integratingand orchestrating the algorithms into an integrated application.
Performingsystem testing.
Reportingvalidation results and correcting identified errors.
Supportingthe maintenance of software infrastructures including continuous integrationGit Docker & related tools.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM

We are looking for professionals with strong softwareprogramming and implementation skills preferably with a background in orinterest in Space Missions and with:

Abackground in physics mathematics engineering or a related technical field.
Programmingfluency in C.
Workingexperience with GitLab.

We will also value previous experience and knowledge within:

Earth Observation payloads.
Docker.
Python.
Matlab.
Proficiencyin formal project documentation writing in English.
Experiencewith MS Office and LaTeX.
Experiencein technical coordination team leadership and project management support.
