The Phase-in-Phase-Out (PIPO) team manages the critical data and processes related to the lifecycle management of our commercial offerings specifically focusing on medical device instrument transitions. The current PIPO product is hosted on an SAP BW (P06) platform which is scheduled for decommissioning. This role is essential to ensure a smooth migration/rebuild of the PIPO product to a modern To-Be platform (Snowflake or HANA) and to provide advanced data analysis and advisory services throughout this modernization effort.

We are looking for a Data Advisory & Insight Specialist to join our PIPO Migration team. This expert will act as the crucial link between the technical data architecture and the commercial business needs. Youll be responsible for deep-diving into the existing data logic and business rules ensuring that all valuable commercial insights are not only retained but enhanced in the new data environment.

1. Legacy Data & Business Logic Deconstruction (AS-IS)

• SAP BW Mastery: Deeply analyze the AS-IS business logic and data flow within the current SAP BW (P06) environment including the Rule Engine and Feedback Layer.

• Code-to-Logic Translation: Identify and document the commercial business logic currently embedded in the PIPO solution which may involve understanding ABAP to extract business rules.

• Source Data Expertise: Ensure all critical PIPO data sources such as Instrument logs Cobas Cube data SAP R/3 data (Cuvettes sold from COPA sales data P&L) and Reagent CDGS sales data are accurately understood and mapped for the To-Be environment.

2. To-Be Data Architecture Advisory

• Migration Quality Assurance: Advise the Solution Architect and development team to ensure 100% fidelity of migrated business logic and data into the Snowflake/HANA target environment.

• Data Structure Optimization: Provide insights on data quality data transformation requirements and business validation rules to guarantee the new system (utilizing Tableau Cloud for Visualization and REACT for Front-End) accurately reflects commercial reality.

• Validation & Testing Strategy: Design and execute validation protocols to prove the new systems data outputs and calculations align with or improve upon the legacy systems commercial results.

3. Commercial Insight Generation

• Commercial Domain Insight: Act as the Commercial Domain Subject Matter Expert (SME) ensuring the new platforms data capabilities directly support PIPO strategic decision-making in the Medical Device industry.

• KPI & Reporting Design: Partner with business users to define structure and validate all commercial KPIs and metrics within the Tableau Cloud visualization layer.

• Proactive Advisory: Provide data-driven insights to the PIPO Product Owner on potential data gaps risks or opportunities presented by the migration driving continuous improvement post-rebuild.

• Data & System Expertise: Strong experience in SAP BW or similar enterprise data warehousing platforms.

• Business Logic Analysis: Proven ability to extract document and translate highly complex embedded business rules from legacy systems (Nice to Have for Solution Architect but critical for this role).

• Commercial Domain Knowledge: Direct experience or strong knowledge of the Commercial Domain in the Medical Device industry is highly desirable.

• Modern Data Stacks: Familiarity with modern data warehouse platforms like Snowflake or HANA is a plus as these are the designated To-Be systems; familiarity with Data Mesh DataVault or similar data architecture patterns are plus points.

• Visualization Tools: Experience with data visualization tools specifically Tableau and Thoughtspot to advise on report structure and insight generation.

• Soft Skills: Strong communication collaboration and problem-solving skills to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and the technical development team.
