About the job
For an EU Agency based in Warsaw we are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Project Managerto lead and coordinate cybersecurity initiatives within a complex and security-sensitive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle ensuring the successful delivery of cybersecurity projects while balancing business objectives security requirements quality standards budgets and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cybersecurity projects throughout their complete lifecycle from initiation to closure.
- Establish and maintain project governance controls plans schedules and reporting mechanisms.
- Ensure project objectives milestones and deliverables are achieved on time and within scope.
- Monitor project quality and ensure compliance with organisational standards and security requirements.
- Identify assess and manage project risks issues dependencies and scope changes.
- Coordinate and communicate with project boards stakeholders vendors and technical teams.
- Plan assign and supervise project activities while balancing priorities and workloads.
- Organise and facilitate project meetings workshops and steering committees.
- Produce and maintain project documentation including plans schedules logs and status reports.
- Prepare and deliver management presentations progress updates and technical reports.
- Support the successful delivery of cybersecurity programmes and strategic security initiatives.
Profile requirements
- Masters degree or equivalent (EQF Level 7).
- Minimum 10 years of relevant IT experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in project management or a similar role.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Valid EU RESTRICTED (RESTREINT UE/EU RESTRICTED) Security Clearance or willingness to undergo the security screening process which must be initiated within the first 45 days of assignment.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity technologies controls and risk management practices.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity frameworks compliance requirements and security governance principles.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
- Strong understanding of IT systems and their alignment with business objectives.
- Excellent project management risk management and quality management capabilities.
- Strong leadership stakeholder management communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to produce high-quality written documentation and executive-level presentations.
- At least four internationally recognised certifications including: 1) Minimum two cybersecurity certifications such as: CISSP; CISA; CISM; ISO/IEC 27001 Information Security Associate; Equivalent recognised certifications. 2) Minimum two project and service management certifications such as: PM² Advanced; PRINCE2 Practitioner; PMP; ITIL Foundation; Equivalent recognised certifications
- Experience managing cybersecurity projects in EU-classified or highly regulated environments.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools such as PM² PRINCE2 PMP and ServiceNow.
Desired Assets
- Broad architectural understanding and experience delivering security solutions across the full project lifecycle.
- Experience managing cybersecurity programmes budgets resources and investment portfolios.
- Strong understanding of security policies governance frameworks and industry best practices.
- Experience working with European institutions agencies or international organisations is considered an asset.
