CCS Leader (fmd)
Job Summary
TheCCS Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of the systems engineering team to deliver control and cyber security related solutions that meet business requirements for quality cost delivery safety and environmental standards.
This role is accountable for engineering performance during production and internal validation phases ensuring high-quality deliverables and Customer satisfaction while operating in full alignment with GE Vernovas Ethics Compliance Safety and Integrity standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Allocate engineering resources across projects based on needs identified by project leaders.
- Ensure the right technical competencies are assigned to the right tasks to optimize execution efficiency and overall delivery performance.
- Oversee the technical quality of team deliverables leveraging the expertise of lead and reference systems engineers.
- Drive accountability across the team for ownership of responsibilities and outcomes.
- Build and regularly update team workload and resource plans balancing forecast project demand with team capacity.
- Ensure consistent deployment of harmonized processes methods practices and tools across the team.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives including process simplification elimination of non-value-added activities and automation.
- Promote team engagement in identifying improvement opportunities and supporting industrialization efforts.
- Reinforce cost awareness and schedule discipline across the team.
- Ensure timely identification and escalation of quality issues and coordinate corrective actions with management quality and other departments as needed.
- Establish and monitor service performance and quality KPIs.
- Ensure teams proactively identify and communicate project deviations risks and potential impacts.
- Support the selection of partners and suppliers in collaboration with the procurement team.
- Promote the teams expertise and technical capabilities internally and externally.
People Leadership
- Set annual team priorities and objectives and ensure regular follow-up and adjustment throughout the year as business needs evolve.
- Foster team engagement and performance by removing obstacles supporting development and ensuring access to the necessary organizational resources.
- Coach develop and train team members to strengthen both individual and team capabilities.
- Contribute to the definition and review of team interfaces responsibilities and departmental processes and ensure they are effectively implemented.
- Ensure knowledge retention and knowledge sharing across technical solutions and technology platforms.
- Drive team upskilling in emerging technologies such as networks and cybersecurity.
- Develop team performance through structured training plans and individual coaching.
- Create an environment that supports knowledge capitalization and transfer of expertise.
- Ensure balanced technical coverage across the full scope of customized solutions and promote skills consistency across the team.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment in line with EHS Quality and Integrity policies and procedures.
- Lead by example in applying GE Vernova rules and fostering a strong culture of integrity and compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree in electrical engineering industrial computing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong expertise in GE control and protection solutions.
- Proven experience leading technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead coach develop and motivate large multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working in international and matrix organizations.
- Strong ability to collaborate with stakeholders across functions and levels including senior leadership.
- Strong organizational skills autonomy and resilience in a demanding environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build team spirit and high performance.
- Self-motivated action-oriented and comfortable working under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to lead change effectively.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to optimize processes and deliver organizational objectives.
- Good understanding of the Grid Automation market Customer expectations and key business drivers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Sound judgment and ability to manage a significant workload when required.
- Dynamic positive and energized by operational challenges.
- Fluency inEnglish(written and spoken) is essential.
- Willingness to travel25% or more.
