About the Opportunity

We are looking for a Calypso Business Analyst / Functional Analyst to join a newly established team supporting the Capital Markets ecosystem of a major European banking institution.

This is a unique opportunity to become part of a strategic initiative aimed at building a brand-new team from the ground up. The team will be responsible for supporting enhancing and evolving critical Capital Markets operations and systems with a strong focus on the Calypso platform.

You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams helping to translate business requirements into functional solutions while contributing to the continuous improvement of trading risk and post-trade processes.

The position offers long-term stability exposure to complex financial products and the possibility of future internalization with the end client after a successful collaboration period.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather analyze and document business and functional requirements related to Calypso.
• Collaborate with Front Office Middle Office Back Office Risk and Operations teams.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
• Participate in the design and implementation of Calypso enhancements and new functionalities.
• Support incident analysis and resolution in cooperation with technical teams.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and development teams.
• Assist with testing activities including SIT UAT and production validation.
• Contribute to process optimization initiatives across Capital Markets operations.
• Support system upgrades releases and platform transformation projects.

Qualifications :

Required Skills & Experience

• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services.
• Previous demonstrated experience working with the Calypso platform.
• Strong understanding of Capital Markets products and trade lifecycle processes.
• Experience gathering and documenting functional and business requirements.
• Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Front Office Middle Office Back Office Risk or Operations workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English: C1 proficiency

Nice to Have

• Exposure to derivatives fixed income FX equities or money markets.
• Understanding of SQL and data analysis.
• Experience working in investment banking environments.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
• Previous involvement in Calypso implementation migration or upgrade projects.
